The area around Garibaldi Lake is the most popular hiking and backpacking destination in all of British Columbia. Turquoise lakes, glaciated peaks, expansive meadows, impressive marks of past volcanic activity and abundand wildlife guarantee an adventure, regardless of how short or long one wishes to stay. We hiked a loop climbing up to the lake and returning through alpine meadows - in total, 21 km and 950 metres of elevation gain.
