Lake O'Hara is the crown jewel of the Rockies. This restricted-access area offers a chain of turquoise cascading lakes enclosed in a spectacular high alpine setting. It is the land of dreams come true. We had to book our visit three months in advanced, and struck gold when the day we picked turned out to be the only sunny one in that week. We hiked as much as we could of it, and were left longing for more.
